Somehow my account disappeared, together with its high scores (including a Turkish one using self-made keyboard layout ;-). I was able to create a new one with the same name.

Did you leave your account unused for a long time? I also lost my account (and a few good scores). The last time I visited the site (apart from recently) was sometimes in 2004. I hope accounts aren't removed because of inactivity...

Seems likely. If this is the cause, I think that accounts should not appear because of inactivity, at least ones which have attained a high score in some active list, or have been used "enough" times.
