Hi there.

First of all I want to congratulate you for this awesome site! :) Since I found typera I am here every day and I try to improve my typing skills... I just have one little feedback to give, bacause there is something that is bothering me:

When I am typing and when I miss-type a word it becomes instantly red and that is disturbing... :( Maybe it's just me, but when I see that something became red up there I can no longer concentrate and I am losing my rhytm. :(

I suppose there is no way to deactivate that funcion individually? So that the faults would be seen only at the end of the game? Would be fantastic... But if it isn't possible I have no other option then to try and ignore the red evil words up there (or to try and make 0 faults...) ;)

Best Regards,

Oliver

I can only agree, it's irritating... but, if somebody writes a good score... he doesn't make mistakes, so, the best method to do something against this sketchy problem is: write concentrated and don't make mistakes ;)

Well the most of the typera.tk users don't write that fast .. and most of them make a lot of mistakes .. so i think it is good if everybody is given the opportunity to customize his typera:-)

perhaps it would be best if not the word would be red. only the letter. so it would be posssible to see the mistake before the word is typed. so every one get the chance to correct the mistake.
as i posted in the other thread. it's hard read the font.

There is little point to the word turning red. The word turns red only after the user hits the space bar to "complete" the word.
Since a user cannot correct his mistakes, this function seems to be useless and it is somewhat distracting.

For me its ok. Red words mean: slow down a litte. Because correctness is still more important than speed.

I would have to agree I cant speak for most of TyperA users since only 9% of users type faster than me......but I would preffer to have no color change it distracts me from what i am doing.

hahah, imo, the constantly moving "speed bar" is quite annoying.. it's like.. "oh no! i'm going under my record... nooo nooo it's going lower and lower!!"

I have to agree, too. Why not makin' more options the user can choose individually?

This is the way to do it: http://tinyurl.com/39vwtt

Heh, no, but actually I agree. It takes some time to learn to ignore this. When you notice that you make an error it's often the case that the two following words will be mistyped as well. It totally disrupts your pace. It's possible to learn to ignore it though and just keep on typing. Usually if I get many faults in a row I just backspace a few times and "reset" my position. Might be that a character or two from the previous word has "lagged" (you pressed enter/space to early).

TyperA is equally much concentration and focus as it is typing fast. You don't have to improve on raw speed to improve overall, but rather learn not to force yourself. It's very cool when it all comes together and you practically feel the fingers moving by themself to build the words/sentences. Sometimes I'm just surprised that the word comes out correctly spelled because I didn't know really how I typed it.

I do not think that it would bother you that much if you concentrate enough i found out that you will not do a typo if you do not do one it will not turn red If you get stuck on a word most people skip it but it lowers your score for a typo so just look at the word and work up typing it you can get the speed back going when their isnt a red word aggervating you guys ive been on typera for a while now and its just that you gotta have speed patients and concentration ;) Typera keep up the good work
